How Rude?
I was up on the 86th floor of Empire State Building the other day looking for the elevator up to the 102nd floor. I foolishly approached a member of the observartory staff to ask directions.
Me “ Excuse me”
Me “Excuse me”
Me “Excuse me”
Me “Excuse me, Hello”
Me “Excuse me please”
Me “Excuse me”
Me “HEEELLLOHO”
Her “How Rude, Don’t you ever, say excuse me?”
This made me laugh.

have you never heard the little known new York singer, he said you should always say Excuse Me at least 8 times when in NY.
...remember the song, "New York, New York, so good they said it twice"?
